Electric “Part e-Van” — Nissan e-NV200 Transformed
What would you guess a “part e-van” is? An electric van outfitted to base a party around, right? So… exactly what the phrase sounds like.
Coming on the heels of an e-NV200 electric van converted into a
camper; one converted into a BBQ food truck; and one converted into the
perfect option for tailgating; Nissan’s eponymous electric van has now
been converted into a “14,000 watt DJ station on wheels.”
The “part e-van” features — in addition to a rooftop DJ station — a
light-up dance floor and several interactive display screens apparently
highlighting the best action, amongst other things.
These “other things” apparently include a drone (quadcopter) that is
able to provide real-time aerial shots of the dance floor. Yes,
seriously.
Our sister site Gas2 provides some more information:
There’s even a solar-powered disco
ball and a “non-alcoholic cocktail mixer”, because nothing says good
times like a virgin Shirley Temple.
Seriously though, this is a party
cool concept, and one as near and dear to my heart as the tailgate
machine. Being a bit of a music festival junkie myself, I was hoping to
see if the “Part e-Van” might be making its way near me. Alas, the
schedule only lists European destinations, and Nissan has yet to confirm
if the e-NV200 will even for available for sale in the US.
Well, no surprise there. That’s the first thing that came to my mind while watching the video — “this is very European.” Though, I suppose that there are some in the Americas who could appreciate such an offering. Unfortunately, though, we have yet to even receive the normal no-frills version of the e-NV200.
